With an unexpected day off, the girls and I needed something to do. Something that involved exercise and running around (a lot of running) to get all that built up energy out of their little bodies. This cold weather is really laying heavy on the girls. There’s only so much baking, play-doe, and coloring that one can do without getting bored. So I told the girls we were going on a special adventure the night before to get them excited (and cooperate). Here is a bit of what our morning looked like. Not the best photo quality, but it’s quite hard to get a decent picture of these two without some sort of blurry-ness going on.
Cora getting ready to run a marathon. Or eat breakfast, either one.
A morning isn’t complete without a little dilly-dallying.
Or a meltdown of some sort.
Finally out the door and on our way.
Last time we went here Cora was terrified of going off on her own. She cried every time she couldn’t see Elliot or me. This time, she couldn’t wait to get her boots & coat off so she could play. There were a few times I couldn’t even find her and when I did she was off on her own and laughing.
The girls made a friend who followed them everywhere!
Time to relax after nearly two hours at the indoor park.
